About Me

"Small progress is still progress."

I am a Jill of many trades who loves to build and observe beautiful things that work at the same time. But recently, in the warehouse and fulfillment center environment, I also discovered that I have hidden powers of observation, problem solving, attention to detail, and coming up with ideas that make things efficient.

I wanted to be a graphic designer, or somewhere in the lines of a UI/UX designer at first. My hard-earned BFA proved the skills that I can do: looking at beautiful visuals, coming up with ideal visuals that are friendly to everyone's eyes. Adobe Creative Suite, prototype tools like Figma, sketching thumbnails, basic doodling, I've learned all of that. But by the time I stepped in the real world, I ended up getting hooked into something new: web development.

My new-found hobbies and personal loves of anime, manga, and J-Pop music somehow prompted me to spread them around the world, and that was when web development became a huge part in my non-linear career searching. I learned the basics of HTML, CSS, Sass, basic Javascript, WordPress, basic PHP, basic frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation, web hosting, and site migrations to satisfy my fan cravings. I have taken some online courses, earned some certificates, built my portfolio and used my fan projects as my works, and yet, it was still difficult to find a job role in web development. Perhaps because I lacked support to get me job-ready or perhaps other things in life got in the way of my life schedule.

However, exploring the vast world all this time is my true passion. Observation, collecting information, seeking answers to many problems, and sharing these results to the masses lead me to discover data analytics. Even when the answers are discovered, there is still so much out there that needs to be known. I call myself a lifelong learner after all. Still, I'm excited to be in this journey through the Google Data Analytics program and I'm looking forward to make the transition into Data Analytics.

I would love to connect with like-minded people like myself and I hope we can explore, discover, and experience new things together.
